Development & Testing
Requirements:
– PHP 8.0 or higher (required for PHPUnit 9)
– Composer
– Node.js & npm (for building assets)
– WordPress (for integration testing)
Setup:
1. Install PHP dependencies:
composer install
2. Install Node dependencies and build assets:
npm install
npm run build
3. Set up the WordPress test environment:
bash bin/install-wp-tests.sh wordpress_test root ” 127.0.0.1 latest
(Adjust DB credentials as needed)
Running Tests:
– Run all tests:
composer test
or
vendor/bin/phpunit
– Run tests with coverage:
composer test-coverage
Notes:
– Tests are located in the tests/ directory.
– The plugin uses the wp-phpunit framework for WordPress integration.
– Make sure your database is running and accessible for the test suite.
