Absolutely not! It is totally free and the plugin comes with all features with no hidden fee. You can create unlimited projects, users, tasks, and more.
Q: Are there any paid features or add-ons?
The core LazyTasks plugin is 100% free. The premium mobile app (iOS and Android) is a paid product with additional features and 24/7 support. Optional add-ons (such as the upcoming Time Tracker and Performance Scorer) may have their own terms, but the core plugin is always free.
Q: Can I access LazyTasks on mobile devices?
Yes, LazyTasks offers native apps for both iOS and Android, allowing for seamless mobile access. The mobile app now features full permission parity with the web plugin, in-app commenting, and a dedicated notifications center.
Q: How do roles and permissions work in LazyTasks?
LazyTasks has both global and project-scoped permissions. You can create custom roles, assign different roles to the same user across different projects, and use built-in parent-child rules that prevent accidental permission misconfiguration. Task creators and assignees automatically have rights over their own tasks without needing broader permissions. Every permission row has a tooltip explaining what it controls.

Q: Does LazyTasks support team collaboration?
Absolutely. LazyTasks supports real-time collaboration with features like comments, @mentions, task followers, activity logs, whiteboard commenting, and notifications across web and mobile.
Q: Does LazyTasks require any external service to run?
No. LazyTasks runs entirely on your WordPress site. Your data stays in your WordPress database. Optional integrations (SMTP providers, Google OAuth, Firebase for push notifications) are available but not required.
Q: Are my data and projects secure with LazyTasks?
Yes. Data security is a priority for LazyTasks, with robust permission controls and privacy features. You have complete control over your data since it lives on your own WordPress installation.
Q: Can I integrate LazyTasks with other tools?
LazyTasks offers various integrations including Google OAuth social login, any SMTP server for email notifications, and WP SMS for SMS notifications. Gmail and Google Calendar integrations are on the roadmap.
