Genesis Simple Archives removes the clutter from your archives. Instead of the traditional paginated blog layout with large headlines, bylines, featured images, full content or excerpts and category and tag information, all the posts are displayed as a simple list on a single page.
You can optionally group the lists by year, month, day, author, post type or custom field.
You can choose to simplify any or all of the following types of archives:
- year archives
- month archives
- day archives
- category archives
- tag archives
- custom taxonomy term archives
- author archives
- post type archives
- search results
- the front page or Posts page
Can I use this plugin if I don't use a Genesis theme?
This plugin only works with Genesis themes. If you don't use a Genesis theme, the plugin will not have any effect on your site.
Can I still use my archive headlines and intro text?
Yes! In fact, all of the below features will still work as normal:
- custom archive headlines and intro text
- default and accessibility headlines
- author box (author archives)
- no posts message
- custom document titles and meta descriptions (via Genesis or an SEO plugin)
