After following the installation instructions above you are ready to embed videos. First find a video you would like to embed by visiting http://www.kidsinthehouse.com and browsing to the particular video you would like to embed on your WordPress site. Copy the URL of the video from the web browser's address bar, for example purposes here is a url to a specific video – http://www.kidsinthehouse.com/all-parents/parenting/parental-stress-and-anger/how-to-stop-yelling-at-your-kids.

**To Embed a Video on Posts and pages by using easy snippets (also known as short codes)**
Go to an existing page or post and add the the following snippet from within the visual or text editor
[kith videourl="URL of VIDEO"]
You may copy and paste this example if you want to and be sure to include the brackets [] and the quotation marks, so the only part that will be different is URL of VIDEO should be the full url of the video you want to embed from http://www.kidsinthehouse.com. To use our example video from above, the simplest snippet would be:
[kith videourl="http://www.kidsinthehouse.com/all-parents/parenting/parental-stress-and-anger/how-to-stop-yelling-at-your-kids"]
Save the post/page and view it and the video should appear.

You may want to customize various options for the embed video which is why a number of customization options are supported. After going over each option with a basic description an example will be provided that you can cute and paste to use for your site. Options you may specify in you snippet or shortcode include width, height, autostart, morelink and linktext.

*width is the width of the embed, usually in pixels, so you would put 640 for 640 pixels wide, this will also except a value of small or can be omitted if you do nto wish to specify an exact size.
*height is the height of the embed
*autostart determines whether the video automatically begins playing on page load
*morelink Underneath each video a link back to Kidsinthehouse is automatically inserted for visitors wishing to see more content from Kids in the House. This allows you to specify which page on KidsintheHouse.com this goes to. It could be the expert page or another video by the same expert, or the homepage, you can pick any kidsinthehouse.com URL. If left off, it defaults to the linking to http://www.kidsinthehouse.com
*linktext this is the text used for the morelink option mentioned above. If left off it defaults to For more videos on parenting visit KidsintheHouse.com

Example snippet (shortcode) you can use:

[kith videourl="PUT URL HERE" width="620" height="400" morelink="http://www.kidsinthehouse.com/teenager" linktext="For more videos on teenagers visit KidsintheHouse.com" autostart="TRUE"]

This is the method we recommended for most users, but if you want to embed a Kids in the House video in an area that is not a page or post, you may want to use our video widget.

== What is Kids in the House? ==
*Kids in the House* is an educational website about parenting. Our goal is to help parents and caregivers become better at parenting by **educating, inspiring and entertaining**. The 8,000 videos on our website feature interviews with the top experts in parenting, including physicians, psychologists, researchers, educators and best-selling authors, as well as leaders of national organizations. Our videos also feature parents who have dealt with particular issues and can share their hard-earned wisdom.

Kids in the House is a place where parents have the opportunity to hear and share different perspectives and get solutions for parenting challenges that range from pregnancy through getting into college. Kids in the House aims to be the most comprehensive resource for parenting advice, one which respects the fact that there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

The concept for Kids in the House came to founder, Leana Greene, as she was searching for answers herself, while striving to be the best parent she could be to her three kids. Leana loved to go to lectures featuring experts across all fields of parenting. She discovered that once she heard an expert say something, she connected with that person and could understand them in a whole new way. Many times, she would come away re-inspired for the daily grind of parenting. She knew that living in Los Angles gave her access to many experts that other parents might not have the opportunity to learn from. Her dream was to give parents everywhere access to quality advice in a quick and easy way, as well as, to create a resource where parents could share their wisdom to raise the consciousness of parenting.
